For our second day out on hunt, we changed our search area to St. Edward State Park on Lake Washington.  We hit trails, we hit play areas, we hit it hard!   For those of you wondering why a state park is named after a saint, look it up!  It was an old seminary, so for you less than resourceful folks, that's the reason.   We looked for, and found, the caches we picked.  We are Chudventurers.  We are selective.  Bea got some cool stuff, I got some exercise, and we had Pagliacci's pizza for lunch.  We couldn't find the cache hidden at the Kenmore Library, nor two at some local parks, but we had a great time!

And, yes, that last cache was shaped like a bird!   I love my hunting partner ... she even said she wanted to try metal detecting.  We're going to strike it rich!  I think we'll wait a little bit on the metal detecting.  Methinks someone would get bored a little too easy ...

The Chudventurers are also going to hunt the elusive rainbow trout soon!   I found out that I have to bait the hook, take off the fish, then gut and clean it.  Bea will do all the casting and reeling.   Fair trade, I think!

Stay tuned for more adventures!   You never know what we're going to get ourselves into next ...

Our first day geocaching!

Greetings from the Chudventurers!  We have started our quests, and today we did seven of them!  We're geocaching, and we're good at it!   We've found seven caches hidden in plain site.  We know they're there, but everyone else doesn't.  It's our secret.  Welcome to our world.  We are ... the Chudventurers.

Our first cache was in a cemetery in Stanwood.  We got there after lunch and the hint led us right to the cache.  It was small, but our eagle eyes found it with no problem.  We signed the logbook, which will eventually become a great piece of history for when we become famous explorers!
We headed south along the sound road (Marine Drive) and hit some more - one near a large rock, one at a fire station, two near lakes, one near a gun range and one by an airport.  They are everywhere!

Who are the Chudventurers?

Welcome to our blog!   You may be wondering, "Just who are the Chuventurers?"   Well, let me answer your question.  The founding members of the Chudventurers are none other than Jason and Beatrix Chudy - the father and daughter duo who have already made a number of adventures throughout the Seattle region and want to share those, and future ones, with you.   We are a small, tight-knit team, Beatrix is the brains of the outfit and I, Jason (aka Daddy), am the brawn.  So far, I have fought off bears, cougars, rabid squirrels and at least one dinosaur in our Chudventures.  Okay, I made that part up, but we have seen some crazy squirrels out there.  So, keep watching for our further adventures!   You never know when we'll show up in your neighborhood ...
